Sarasota Little League or SLL (previously known as the Central Sarasota County Little League or CSCLL) is composed of one Charter with a split division format. We refer to our divisions as the American League and National League. Each league is defined by boundaries based upon a player's residential address or enrolled school address if chosen.
SLL is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization. Each season our volunteers dedicate hundreds of hours from administration to coaching all in the betterment of enriching the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. By embracing the virtues of Character, Courage and Loyalty, the Little League Baseball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.
Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in our league. After completing a Little League volunteer application and passing a required national background check, parents may become involved in practices, and be eligible as coaches, managers, umpires, local league board members and other volunteer positions within the league.
SLL is located at Twin Lakes Park. This 123-acre park boasts 11 baseball fields and the Baltimore Oriels’ training complex for minor and major league baseball. Other amenities include batting cages, playground equipment, a large picnic pavilion, lots of green space, ample parking, and our very own Johnny's Grill serving some of the best burgers here in Sarasota!
Who We Are
The objective of Sarasota Little League is to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of food citizenship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and respect for authority, so that they may be well-adjusted, stronger, and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy, and trustworthy citizens.
